Registered apprenticeship standard
With the industry skills gap at an all time high and existing skilled workers aging out into retirement taking decades of knowledge with them. The need to capture this tribal knowledge became paramount.
The standard was formed as a Non-Joint 3rd Party Apprenticeship program that turns the manufacturing facility into the training location, the production workflow the lessons and your skilled workers into the educator.
Traditionally Registered programs are nearly 8,000 hours and completion is based on the number of hours of the program that are completed. With The People of Manufacturing’s standard, the program can be completed in a minimum of 2,000 hours if the apprentice is skilled or uses competency earned from other programs or certifications they have gained. This standard was developed to empower employers to build a customized training program to meet the demands of ever changing technology.
